Jared S. Scheinuk has a broad practice with a focus on litigation, taxation, and end of life matters. Jared began his career in Monroe, Louisiana, where he gained significant litigation experience representing both plaintiff and defendant clients. While in Monroe, Jared also gained trial experience, representing clients in both bench and jury trials. Throughout his career, Jared has maintained a comprehensive succession practice, representing clients in a wide variety of estate administration and contested succession matters.

Jared joined the Derbes Law Firm in 2017. His practice focuses on taxation, which includes representation of individual and entity clients before the Louisiana Department of Revenue and Internal Revenue Service in connection with all types of taxes. Jared regularly engages in tax resolution with the state and federal taxing authorities and works to obtain a favorable result for each of his clients. Jared also represents entity clients in audits pertaining to sales & use, payroll, and withholding tax, and he has represented both individual officers and entities in trust fund recovery penalty investigations.

Jared is a proud graduate of Brother Martin High School and a class of 2006 Golden Crusader. During his five years at Brother Martin, Jared was a member of the Crusader wrestling team, and he remains active in the alumni association to date. At Boston College, Jared was an active participant in student organizations. Jared is presently a resident of New Orleans.
