The attorneys and staff of the Derbes Law Firm took in quite a haul of trophies at the Annual New Orleans Bar & Grille hosted by the Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association on Saturday, April 24, 2024 at the Peristyle in City Park. At the event, teams of amateur chefs from local law firms competed in a cook off consisting of creative food items and cocktails chosen by each team.
The Derbes Law Firm took first place in Most Team Spirit, second place in Best Traditional Dish and Best Cocktail, third place in Most Creative Drink, and most importantly, first place in Best Overall.

This annual event raises funds for the Veterans Justice Fellowship, which provides life-changing civil legal help to address the needs of low-income veterans in the New Orleans area.
